Hello!
A big thank you to everyone who participated in my 'Shadow Stamping' challenge.
It's been so much fun, seeing all of your beautiful creations,
and so hard to choose the winners!

#1 - Esther - shadow stamped a magnificent horse.
What I loved about this, was that the shadow seemed to bring the image to life.
It's so realistic!  The jute is such a fun touch!  Thanks, Esther!

#2 - Judy I - oh my goodness, this is just such a beautiful design.
Those branches look to be blowing in the wind. Thank you Judy!

#3 - Barbara Campbell- You know, this one was just fun.  I loved all of the different colors, and
the overall whimsy of the design. And, of course, there was that fun sentiment!
Thanks, Barbara!

I'm so inspired by each of you to try this technique again very soon,
and I wish you could have all  been winners!

Thanks again for participating!

Patti J.

Make sure to watch our Pinterest Board for the winners and other entries from our challenges. One of your cards may end up there!

Happy Wednesday!
Today, I am super excited to be hosting the Mod Squad Challenge.
Any of you that know me well, know that I'm a lover of 'techniques', so my challenge
is to create something using the 'Shadow Stamping' technique.
I wanted a very clean and simple card, so that the technique could shine.

Supplies Used:  Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 8, by Melanie Muenchinger, Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury White Cardstock (MY LAST PIECE - EEK!!!), Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Foam Dots, Kaiser Craft Pearls, A Muse Cardstock (Mat), Perfect Papercrafting Mini Rulers (see sidebar for details)

For my card today, I've used Melanie Muenchinger's 'Stately Flowers 8', which can be found at
Gina K. Designs. This set is gorgeous - I am totally in love with all of Melanie's flower sets, and her basket sets are amazing, too!  When I win the lottery, I shall own them all :)  This set was in my
mailbox this week - a gift from Melanie.  You should have seen my Post Office happy dance!
Thank you Melanie - you are so kind and generous!

If you have never shadow stamped, you will have fun with this.
Find a stamp that would look nice with a shadow.  Stamp it once in a darker color,
then stamp again, moving the image slightly, to create a shadow image.
If you are a visual learner, Gina has a great video on StampTV, showing this technique.
If you've ever been stumped on a monochromatic card challenge, this technique would be perfect!

Thanks for stopping by - hope that you will try this technique,
and play along with our 'Shadow Stamping' challenge!

Can't wait to see your creations!

Hugs & Blessings,
Patti J.

Hello Everyone !!!
It's me Karen this week.
I'm sitting in my crafty area looking out at my big fig tree,
I can see the birds like my figs as much as I do!
So I got to thinking about all the wonderful fruit that is ripe
and oh so good.
So this is my Challenge,
***Fruit, With a Twist***
You must use Kraft, Black & White in your card.
It can be Card Stock, Ribbon, embellishments or Ink.
You can use other colors as well,
but those 3 must be on there, along with the fruit.
*Kraft *Black *White

This is the card I made:

This is made with the stamp set " Better With Age" by Gina K Designs.
I also used Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Card Stock in
Kraft, Vibrant Violet, Black Onyx & White layering weight.
I used a Spellbinders die, Momentos Black ink, colored the
grapes with Spectrum Noir Pencils. I also used Kraft ink for around the grapes,
& pearls from Gina K Designs

Ok, so I can't wait to see all the yummy fruit,
on all your fabulous cards!

Thanks for stoping by, and all the small print is below.
Have a great day!!!

Thanks so much to all who played this week in my Love that.....Texture!  Challenge.  I learned some new ways to add texture to my cards.  I hope you did too!  The cards were so beautiful this week, and I enjoyed getting to see them.  Now for the hard part, my choices for this week's challenge, in no particular order are:

Stefka Beshkovska

I kept coming back to the wonderful texture of this gorgeous dragonfly!  Isn't it a beautiful addition to this stunning card!

Judy Woodland

I love the beautiful bouquet of flowers on this lovely textured wood grain background.....so lovely!

Carole Renneker
Birthday Love
I love how she used the debossed side and filled it in with tiny glass beads.....genius!  And, the rope is an added bonus.

You have all been a great inspiration to me this week, and I thank you!  Please check back with us tomorrow for another fun challenge!

Happy Stamping,
Sharyn

Sharyn here, and I'm so excited to be hosting the Mod Squad Challenge this week.  I was looking through some of my stash trying to figure out what to do for this challenge, and I came across several pads of burlap, cork, foil and woven paper.  I seem to accumulate all of these things and not use them very often.

So, my challenge for you this week is to
 Love that......Texture!
And, use some texture on your card.

It can be one of the things I mentioned or stencils and embossing paste, embossing folders, crimped paper......you get the idea! There are so many ways to add texture.  Have fun with it and get creative!

Here's my card

I decided to go with some burlap on my card, but I'm, also, getting texture from fussy cutting the sunflower and popping it up, and the fun bandanna ribbon and bow.  The stamp set I used is called Stately Flowers 5. I think this gorgeous sunflower is one of my very favorites.  To continue on with this very country feel, I picked a pretty blue and white gingham patterned paper as the background.  I decided to die cut a cheery "hello" to add as my sentiment.  For more details and a supply list, please visit my blog.

I can't wait to see the creative ways you add texture to your card or project!

Ok, here are the rules:

-Please create a new card/project for each challenge.

-You may use any vendors/products.

-The host/hostess will choose 3 winners.

Hi everyone!  I'm so sorry I didn't leave comments on everyones' blogs this week.  My mom was admitted to our local Hospice Inpatient house last Tuesday night and just passed away last evening, so I've been a little distracted.  I did look at everyone's entries today, though, and was SO impressed.  Why did you have to make it so hard to choose a winner - especially on prize week??  So... here are three of my favorites plus one! :)

First is this fun set of cards by Carole Renneker - I really like how she used the Gina K Thank You Label on all the different colors of cardstock!

Next is the amazing set of cards by Nancy.  Aren't they so fun??  I love the pop of black and the masking!

And Judy created this sweet little girl that can't help but make me smile.

And now this week's winner!!

Carol Longacre made this sweet card that tugged at my heartstrings.  I love the polka dot ribbon and that sentiment is SO perfect for a little card.  Carol you can contact Lee at grizzlys4@yahoo.com to give her your info for your $50 gift certificate from Gina K Designs.  Happy shopping!

Thanks so much for playing along everyone!  Watch the blog for tomorrow's challenge and invite your friends to join in!! :)

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this week's Mod Squad challenge!   I have a fun challenge for you today, based on these three little thank you notes made with the Gina K Designs "Here Comes the Sun" StampTV kit.

I stamped the same design (from the Flower Builder set) on each card, just using different colors of ink for the centers.  The sentiment is from the other set in the kit "Ship to Shore".  I used Red Hot, Turquoise Sea and Sweet Corn ink and cardstock, and sprinkled each card with a trio of gems or pearls and some staples.

So... your mission for this week is to

Create a mini card - 2.5" x 3.5" or 3" square

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

OH!  And it is PRIZE WEEK!

The winner of this week's challenge will receive a $50 Gina K gift certificate!  And with the new release products fresh on the shelf, there will be lots and lots to choose from!!

Ok, here are the rules:

-Please create a new card/project for each challenge.

-You may use any vendors/products.

-The host/hostess will choose 3 winners.

-All 3 cards will be pinned to our Mod Squad Challenge Blog Pinterest Board (follow the link on the right column) and when there is a craft prize the host/hostess will choose one from among those 3 winning cards.
